The Neutral Posture On Line Owners Manual. Take advantage of the full capacity of the most adjustable chairs in the world.

Seat Height Adjustment. Adjust the seat so your feet are flat on the floor. Do not allow your feet to dangle. Make sure the seat is not so high that it puts pressure on the back of the thighs. To raise the seat, take your weight off the chair, pull up on the height (middle) lever, allow the seat pan to rise to the desired height and release the lever. To lower the seat, while seated pull up on the seat height lever and allow the seat pan to lower to the desired height and release the lever.

Seat angle adjustment. Adjust the angle of the seat to a comfortable position. Open the angel between the body and the legs and keep the knees lower than the hips. The position may feel awkward at first, so experiment until it feels right. Push down on the seat tilt lever (front lever) until it stops and rock until you find a position that is comfortable. Pull the lever up and the seat will lock in place. When the lever is in its lowest position, there will be free float movement. This should only be used when reading or relaxing and NOT during task intensive use.

Tension knob for seat angle adjustment. Adjust the free-float movement of the seat pan for different user weights. A lightweight person will need less tension than a heavier person. This adjustment should not be made while seated in the chair. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten. Note: the knob is easiest to turn when the chair is tilted forward.

Backrest angel adjustment.  Adjust the angle of the backrest to provide firm support to the back. Push down on the backrest angle lever (rear lever) and move the backrest to the proper angle, then release the lever. Note. Do not apply pressure on the backrest while pushing down on the lever.

Backrest height adjustment. Adjust the backrest so that the contoured seat part is positioned in the small of your back (the lumbar area). With both hands as shown, lift the backrest straight up. As the backrest moves up it will click in 1/2 inch increments, totaling nine clicks. Stop at any of these clicks. When you've reached the highest point, the backrest will lower itself to the beginning.

Backrest depth adjustment. The depth of the backrest should be adjusted to provide proper support for the individual. For the shorter person, the backrest should be moved in all the way; for the taller person, it should be moved out. Loosen the knob under the backrest upright. Slide the backrest in or out to the desired depth and tighten the knob. This adjustment should not be made while seated in the chair.

Air lumbar adjustment - note - this is now a paddle lever, not a bulb as show.  Increase our decrease support to your lumbar region by inflating the air bag to the desired firmness. To do this, pump up and down repeatedly on the inflation paddle until you obtain the lumbar inflation most comfortable for you. To deflate, pull up on the paddle until the desired support is obtained.

Height adjustment of arms.  An individual's arms weight between 5 and 7 pounds which is absorbed by the neck and should area. The armrest should be adjusted high to enough to support the arms and take pressure off the neck and shoulders. Squeeze the trigger located on the front of the arm and move the armrest to the desired height. Once the armrest is at the correct height, release the lever and it will "click" into place.

Swivel adjustment of the arms. The armrests should be angled to support the forearm while working. They can be rotated to the back to allow the user to get nearer the work surface. The swivel adjustment is made by lifting the armpad as pictured and rotating to the desired position. Simply release the armpad and it will settle into place.

Width adjustment of the armrests.  The arms should be adjusted wider than the shoulder width of the user for greatest support. Loosen the knob under the arm slightly and slide the armrest to the width that feels comfortable. Make sure the knob is tightened back down.

Headrest height adjustment.  (Only 9000 series chairs have headrests.) Adjust the headrest so that your head fits comfortably into the contoured part of the headrest. With both hands as shown, lift the headrest straight up. As the headrest moves up it will "click" in 1/2 inch increments, totaling five clicks. Stop at any of these clicks. When you have reached the highest position, the headrest will lower itself to the beginning.

Headrest depth adjustment.  Only 9000 series chairs have headrests.) Adjust the headrest to the correct depth to support the head in the proper angle. Release the latch on the back of the right side of the headrest and slide the headrest to the desired depth with both hands. Bring the headrest forward for an upright support. Slide it back for a more reclined position.
